I got my name

By | March 3, 2007

SnapNamesA month ago, I have accidentally seen that naveen.info was expired and it was pending for deletion. I surprised to see that because getting Hindu first name is very difficult and almost all names will be registered by someone who wants to sell the domains on Sedo at a premium rate (not less than $500). Then, I have gone through lot of webmasters’ discussion forums to find out which backorder company will help me in getting it. I heard that backordering with SnapNames and Pool.com will work. Further reading told me that the domain was registered with Network Solutions and SnapNames is a priority partner of Network Solutions. So, it is sure that SnapNames can get me the name more than any other backorder company. I placed a bid for $60 (initial bid) two weeks before deletion of the domain. Though it was expired, there are chances that registrant can renew it, but he needs to shell out a lot of money ($80, I think).

Anyway, the original registrant didn’t renew it and no one bid against me and I successfully acquired my favorite domain on March 2, 2007 at 2:00 a.m. (IST). Thank you SnapNames.
